Xavier Bringué

Vice President IPTV and Digital Home, Orange FT Group.

Since 2008, Xavier Bringué is Vice President IPTV and Digital Home at Orange, one of the worldwide IPTV market leader. He is responsible for next generation IPTV services & platform strategy. He is the father of the Orange Box project, the Next Generation STB combining the best of traditional TV services, Application Shop on Television and open Internet content and services (including social networking) in a new and innovative customer user experience. In 2009, regarding his experience, Xavier Bringué has been invited by Intel Corporation to join his Consumer Board of advisers. 

Before joining Orange, Xavier Bringué has spent 8 years at Microsoft Corporation. He was Digital Media Business Development Director. He was responsible for Digital Media strategy in Europe and South of America. It includes Windows Media platform, audio video codecs and Digital Right Management technologies.

Additionally, in both regions, Xavier Bringué with his team looked after all business development activities which include dealing with content providers, network operators, chipset vendors and device manufacturers. Previously, Xavier Bringué ran several product management positions at Alcatel and Sagem, telecom infrastructure and devices manufacturers. At Alcatel, he worked on the WebPhone, a first Internet generation non-PC device built for Telecom operators and Internet service provider as AOL. He also helped to define Alcatel?s next generation of multimedia and wireless devices including WebTablet.

In the early 1990's, Xavier Bringué worked at Apple Computer where he launched on the French market the first version of QuickTime technology. Xavier Bringué is currently based in Paris, France.
