LI Shan

After having graduated at Renmin University, LI Shan worked as an official at the "Beijing Local Government" for ten years. In 2000 she became an associate professor at the ?Institute of World Development", which lead her to the International Cooperation Department in 2004. In the year of 2009 Shan decided to visit the Duke University in the USA, where she graduated with a master degree. Since 2009 she works as a research fellow back at the "Institute of World Development".

Her areas of specialization are relationship between China and EU, with concentration on France, Italy, Spain, Belgium. She has submitted some internal research reports for central government and participated seminars which were provided research advices for making policy by country leaders. As the major writer of both reports  "The estimate of rebuilding official relationship between China and Vatican"  and  "Think tanks in U.S. and their attitude towards China", she won awards for best reports of the year issued by Development Research Center of the State Council of P.R.C.

She is married to Mr. XIE Qizhen who is a professor of agricultural engineering. They are blessed with their beautiful daughter XIE Jin.
